Inez Bishop, 95, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St., Abilene with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park, Gazing Globe section. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Elliott-Hamil funeral home.

Inez was born on May 19, 1919 in Glen Rose,TX. to father, George McCarty and mother, Ivy Texas Pace McCarty.

She moved with her family to Hawley, TX.

Inez met her beloved husband at a dance. He was stationed at Camp Barkely in 1941. They were married in Lawton, OK on November 1, 1941.

She loved her family deeply and she taught them all how to love God, family, and how to rely on both. She will be missed but not forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; sons, Danny Ray, Lester Paul, and Randy Glen; brothers, Othele, Troy, Bill, and Bob.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Robbie Lynn Richardson and husband, Gary of Abilene; a daughter-in-law, Cherry Bishop of Humble; granddaughters, Misty Martiss Bishop and her partner, Heather, and Dainelle Bishop; great-grandchildren, Toni, Cara, and Robert; several nephews, nieces, and extended family.
