Gregory D. Bishop, age 74, a native of Massillon, Ohio died Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Canton, Ohio where he has been residing for the past year.

Gregory moved from Massillon, Ohio to Calif., and Bullhead City, Ariz., where he was a Realtor Broker serving as District President of the State Realtors Association. Greg always loved people. Family was most important to Greg. Greg lived a strong devoted faith life within the Catholic Church. Greg was involved in multiple ministries at St. Margaret Mary Church in Bullhead City, Ariz., prior to moving back to Ohio. Greg was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Massillon for the last year when his health brought him home. In Bullhead City he served as Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, DeWitt C. and Catherine (Mead) Bishop Sr., and a nephew DeWitt C. Bishop III.

He is survived by his son, Darren (Brenda) Bishop; granddaughter, Brittney of Gunnison, Colo., they were the love of his life; sisters, Lillie Christie, Sandra (Lanny) Bucci of Sun City Center Fla. and Darla Bishop of Massillon; brothers, DeWitt C Bishop Jr. of Calif., Lorin (Sylvia) Bishop of Massillon, Father Thomas Bishop pastor of Saint Anthony/ All Saints Parish in Canton, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish 1530 11th St. SE, Canton, Ohio. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will take place at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Burial will take place next to his parents in St. Joseph Cemetery Massillon, Ohio.

Family extends deep appreciation to the Staff at Massillon Dialysis Center and of Mercy Hospital, to the many kindnesses of friend support and to the super support of the Rossi Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Margaret Mary, 1691 North Oatman Rd. Bullhead City , Ariz. 86442 or to St. Anthony/All Saint Mother Cabrini Outreach.
