Alexander Jay Birt "The Big Hurt Birt" Alexander Jay Birt, 22, passed away August 12, 2006 in Salt Lake City. He was born September 20, 1983 in Salt Lake City to Brett and Paula Birt.
He married Jamie Lynn McDonald on May 15, 2004.
Alex was our loving hero, a gentle giant and a friend to all. His untimely departure has left a void in all of us. Alex had many interests- a love of baseball, music and cars. As a man, a son, a brother, grandson and loving husband, many will miss him. Alex is survived by his wife Jamie, parents Brett (Linda) Birt, and Paula A. (Shane) Nielsen, grandparents Becky and Claude C. Manzanares, sister Karli Schulz.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Jay Birt and his grandmother, Ann D. Santoro. Funeral Services will be held Thurs., August 17th 2:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr., where the family will receive friends at a viewing Wed., evening from 6-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Thurs.
