Funeral services for Dr. Morris A. Birely, prominent Thurmont physician who died suddenly Sunday night, will be held in St. John's Lutheran church, Thurmont at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev Charles H. Corbett will officiate. Interment will be in Blue Ridge cemetery, Thurmont. The body is at the M.L. Creager and Son funeral home where friends may call until time for the service. The casket will not be opened at the church.
Dr. Birely, who served many years as phuysician to St. Joseph's College and the Western Maryland Railway Company is also survived by two sisters. Mrs Rebecca Kissinger, Gettysburg, PA and Mrs. Elizabeth Koons, Baltimore; a grandson and several nieces and nephews.
