Alan Lee Bird of Mexico died March 9, 2012 in the comfort of his own home in Mexico.
Alan was a proud veteran of the 508, 82nd Airborne stationed in Ft Bragg, North Carolina. Alan was a Purple Heart recipent and served his country from 1966-1970. Alan also served as a police officier in Phoenix AZ. a Carpemter by trade, he built many beautiful homes in Missouri, Arizona, Iowa, and Illinois. He also built many beautiful places for his family, including a cabin on his vacation property in Missouri. Alan loved to have his grandchildren by his side to heelp him build his latest project. Alan had a passion for fast cars and motorcycles, racing dirt bikes in the 1980's. He was an avid cave spelunker and mapped many caves in the Missouri Ozark area. Alan's memory will forever be in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife Helen, whom he married April 22, 2005, they started their lives together in Missouri and then ventured to Tucson, Arizona, they moved back to Missouri to be with family, and settled in Mexico Mo.
Alan was a wonderful husband, father, and loving devoted grandfather. He is survived by his step children, Elena Valentine, Marissa Valentine, Brice Alan Diederich and Harry Fred Hillman V1.
There will be a private memorial service for Alan in Tucson, AZ.
