The people of Lamont were startled last Saturday to hear of the death of Mrs. John Bridgman. Her illness was of such short duration that many of her old friends and neighbors had not heard of her sickness and were shocked to hear of her death. Since 1854 she has lived on the farm where she died. In that time, by her many acts of kindness, she has won the respect and love of the whole community. Mrs. Rhoda Bridgman was a woman of strong will, who attended strictly to her own business; a good neighbor, a loving wife, a tender, affectionate mother. Her aged husband and other members of the family have the sympathy of all their neighbors and friends.
