Tommie H. Birck, 68, died Saturday, May 14, at 7:20 p.m. in Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital, San Antonio. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 17, at 10 a.m., in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Anthony Cummins officiating. Entombment followed in St. Mary's Mausoleum.
Mr. Birck was a former service station operator. He was born April 4, 1909 in Gillespie County, the son of August Birck and Emilie Peese Birck. He married Lydia Wallendorf June 30, 1936 in Fredericksburg and she survives him.
Other survivors, in addition to his wife are a sister, Nelda, Mrs. Edgar Schmidt; brothers, Emil Birck; Erie Birck; Edwin Birck and Arvie Birck, all of Fredericksburg.
Preceding him in death was one brother, Felix Birck.
Pallbearers were David Dean Ling, Milton Birck, Ewald Segner, Kenneth Jung, Francis Birck and J. C. Birck.
