HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Grace Marie Bengis, an 18-year local resident and formerly of the Bronx, NY, died March 15, 1999 at home. Mrs. Bengis was an Educational Assistant for 17 years with the Wappingers Central School District, before retirement in October, 1998. Born in New York City on Nov. 25, 1924, she was a daughter of Frank and Grace Lozzito Binetti. She graduated from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx. She married Richard Bengis on Aril 27, 1947 in Our Lady of Grace Church, Bronx. Mr. Bengis survives at home. Other survivors include one daughter, Stella Humphreys, Hopewell Junction; two sons, Mark Bengis, Stormville, and John Bengis, White Plains; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Columba Church, Hopewell Junction. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Hopewell Junction
