Hermiston - Services will be conducted by the Rev. H. P. Sconce for Charles A. Binder Sr., 75, late of Hermiston at the Burns Mortuary chapel in Hermiston this Friday at 10:30 am. He passed away Wednesday at the Good Shepherd hospital.
Binder came to Umatilla county in 1930 when he engaged in the plumbing business at Umatilla.
Binder is survived by his wife, Sally, Hermiston; son, Charles Jr., Hermiston; stepdaughter, Mrs. Violet Rohde, Portland; stepsons, Lester Binder, Portland, and Lloyd Binder, Pendleton, sisters, Mabel Devney, Portland, Maggie Wannamaker, Vancouver, Wash., Rosa Treak of Missouri and brothers, James Binder, Portlad and George, Albert, and Roy Binder, all of Hayes, Kans.

Charles was born Charles Albert McMullan, Margret's son by her first marriage. Wolfgang adopted Charles upon his marriage to Margret, and from that point on Charles was known as a Binder.
