Phillip Walter Bindel passed away on Saturday, May 14th, 2016.
He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on April 20, 1954 to Walter and Nellie Bindel. Phil attended school and graduated in the class of 1973 from Winterset, Iowa. He served his country in the US Navy and received an honorable discharge.
Phil married Julie Larson on December 26, 1976. They were blessed with three children; Amy, Kimberly and Daniel. He was very proud of his six grandchildren; Kelly, Noah, Grant, Autumn, Ethan, and Savannah.
Phil was employed for many years with Kruegers Enterprises and lately at Keystone Automotives and Fareway in Grimes.
Phil and Julie are members of Gloria Dei Lutheran, 8301 Aurora Ave., Urbandale, Iowa.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday , May 17th from 5:30 - 7:30pm and from 10:00 - 10:45am on Wednesday, May 18th. A memorial service will begin a 11:00am on May 18th. Interment will be at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes, Iowa.
Phil will be missed greatly by his family and many friends.
