ALGOOD Funeral services for Miss Bonnie Louise Bilyeu, 83, of Algood, will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, from the Algood Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today, Monday, June 8, and from 11 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Miss Bilyeu died Sunday morning, June 7, 2009, in Masters Health Care Center in Algood.
She was born April 6, 1926, in Algood to the late Alvie Herman and Willie Beatrice Reid Bilyeu.
Miss Bilyeu was a lifelong member of Algood United Methodist Church. She was a well known, self employed
seamstress, retiring after her 81st birthday. Miss Bilyeu specialized in ladies' attire and made everything from simple dresses to elegant wedding gowns.
Her family includes a sister, Edna Qualls of Algood; two brothers and sistersinlaw, George and Estelle Bilyeu of Cookeville and Robert and Delorise Bilyeu of Baxter; a niece, Terry Qualls of Algood; two nephews, David Bilyeu of Nashville and Dana McWilliams of Baxter; and several greatnieces and greatnephews.
