Funeral services for Mike Bilyeu, who apparently had been dead about 24 hours after being found in an automobile about noon Monday, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Bilyeu, 26, was found on Allentown Road in the New Salem community of Jackson County by the sheriff's department after being notified by Gainesboro police who in turn were called by a passerby who saw the car.
No details about the cause of death were immediately available about the man, who was originally from Putnam County, but had been living in Hartsville, a spokesman said. No autopsy will be performed on the body, a funeral Home spokesman said.
A Jackson County official said that Bilyeu appeared to have died from natural causes and that no foul play was suspected.
Burial will be in the Cookeville City Cemetery with Brother Johnny Fox officiating.
Survivors include his wife Gail Carver Bilyeu, one son James Michael Bilyeu, one daughter Elizabeth Shannon Bilbrey, his mother Geraldine Haapanen, his father Ben Bilyeu Jr., three sisters, Mrs. Julia Ann Fields, Mrs. Alcie Beavpre and Miss Mary Bilyeu, all of Detroit, MI, five brothers, Bennie, David, Danny and Andy of MI and Teddy of Cookeville, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kerr of Detroit, MI.
