Mrs. Vivian Claire Billups Arnold, age 85, of Memphis, TN, formerly of Murray, KY, died Friday, August 8, 2008 at her home. She was born in Kenova, WV, November 8, 1922, the daughter of the late Charley and Amelia Billups. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe H. Arnold; three sisters, Bea Roberts, Shirley Dean, and Gloria Billups; and one brother, Dick Billups. She was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Arnold, of Germantown, TN; one step-daughter, Judy Sullivan, of South Point, OH; two sons, Stephen Arnold (Barbara), of Arlington, VA, and Dale Arnold (Janet), of Murray; three sisters, Neva Ferguson, of Wayne, WV, Judy Abdallah, of Uniontown, OH, and Gail Billups, of Huntington, WV; three grandchildren, Heber Arnold, of Missouri, Lisa Bell (Paul), and Kelly Arnold (Nathan Jones), all of Murray; as well as four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 11th in the chapel of J. H. Churchill Funeral Home, with Reverend Matthew Williams officiating. Burial was in the Elm Grove Cemetery.
