He was born September 7, 1937 in Carey to John A. and Mary D. (Plott) Billock, and his mother survives in Carey. He married Freda A. Niederkohr on May 2, 1959 at Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Melinda (Jeff) Faber, Bloomville; Marsha (Denis) Billock-Strahm, Carey; Mia (Roger) Karcher, Upper Sandusky; five grandchildren, Matthew (Bryn) Billock, Mason Billock, Kane Faber, Kaleb Faber and Becka Karcher; two great-grandchildren, Delaney and Reece Billock; a brother, Pete Billock, Carey; and two sisters, Mary Ann McKinnon and Victoria (Gene) Moore, both of Fostoria.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Billock Jr.
Mr. Billock worked at the former Snyder Lumber Co. in Carey for 32 years. He retired from Charles & Associates in Findlay after 16 years of employment
He was a member of Eagles Aerie 2198, Carey. He was a 1955 graduate of Carey High School and an avid sports fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, the Rev. Regis Schlagheck OFM Conv., officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey.
Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Monday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
