She retired from the Governor Bacon Health Center in Delaware City after 18 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Mudfork. Her family remembers her as a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed doing embroidery and ceramics, listening to country music, and was an excellent cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Clifton M. Barrett, on July 30, 2002.
