A memorial for Joan "Pud" McLain of Gilbert, Ariz., will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from Boyles Chapel Cemetery.
Born on April 25, 1942, she was known by her family and friends as "Pud". At one time, she owned and operated a brace and limb shop in Waynesboro and Laurel. She died on Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Gilbert, Ariz.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Vipperman of Laurel and Matthew Carillo of Oklahoma; three daughters, Reba Day of Ohio, Phe "Snoppy" Lawsen of Oklahoma and Mechelle Shaw of Arizona; a brother, Jake McLain of Deer Park, Ala.; two sisters, Jackie Thompson of Deltona, Fla., and Norma Harris of Deatsville, Ala.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, Jake and Mae Ruth (Mozingo) McLain; a brother, Earnest "Buddy" McLain and two sisters, Bobbie Jones and Viola Richardson.
