Mrs. Carrie Delilia Billings, 54, passed away Tuesday night at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon where she had been a patient since April 5.
Mrs. Billings was born February 27, 1907, in Shelby County near Woodville, the daughter of George and Nora Whiles Reynolds. She was united in marriage to Thomas M. Ellyson, who died March 20, 1954. In June, 1955, she was married to Herman Billings, who survives.
Also surviving, in addition to her husband, are: one son, Charles Ellyson of Clarence; her mother, Mrs. Nora Reynolds of Clarence; three stepsons, Kenneth (Jack) Ellyson of Clarence, Gilbert Ellyson of Keokuk, Iowa; two step-daughters, Mrs. Martha Pridemore of Quincy, Illinois and Mrs. Thelma Eldringhoff of Kansas City; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and 11 step grandchildren.
She also leaves nine brothers and sisters: Fountain Reynolds, Mrs. Robert Johnston, Elmer Reynolds, Mrs. Erma Johnston, Mrs. Floyd Thomas and Brainard Reynolds of Clarence, Ms. Cling Golay and Ira Reynolds of Anabel, and Orville Reynolds of Omaha, Nebraska. She was also preceded in death by her father and one daughter, who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Greening Funeral Home here with Rev. B. W. Gronemyer officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Greening Funeral home where the body lays in state.
