Melvin A. Billings, 64, of 1309 Gherald, hardwood flooring contractor, in Freeburg, Ill., Wednesday after a long illness. He leaves three sons, James E. Billings and Jack Billings, both of Memphis, and David A. Billings of Freeburg; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Murphy, Mrs. Edna Pepin and Marie Billings, all of Memphis; two brothers, Herman Billings and Starling Billings, both of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Rettinger and Mrs. Vivian Self, both of Poplarville, Miss., 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Forest Hill Funeral Home with Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East.
