Richard C. "Moses" Billig, 59, of Liberty Township, Grove City, passed away at 4:02 p.m. Thursday at VNA Inpatient Unit following an 18-month battle with lung cancer.He was born Sept. 28, 1955, in Mercer, to the late Charles Billig Jr. and Helen C. Shuler Billig.He married Saundra Cook Dec. 21, 2005.Rich was a self-employed truck driver and mechanic for the past eight years. He formerly was employed by Modern Transportation, Portersville, for more than 20 years.He was Presbyterian by faith.Rich was a graduate of Grove City High School, Class of 1973, where he played football throughout high school. He enjoyed watching football and following NASCAR.Survivors include his wife, Saundra, at home; two children, Brenton Billig and his wife, Jonnie, of Grove City and Nicholas Billig and his wife, Barbie, of Wasilla, Alaska; two stepchildren, Sharon Wilson and her husband, Bill, of Spotsylvania, Va., and Ken Douglass and his wife, Laura, of Meridian; 12 grandchildren; and three sisters, Martha Robinson and her husband, David, of Ohio, Jo Ann DiPaolo and her husband, Ronald, of Frederick, Md., and Nancy Dilley of Fredonia.In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Billig, and his sister, Helen Mae Hurst.Billig - Visiting hours for Richard C.
