Mrs. A. C. Bilderback of Cummings Is Dead

A resident of the Cummings community for more than 60 years, Mrs. Eliza Ann Bilderback, 82, widow fo the late A. C. Bilderback, died at her home one mile northwest of Cummings at 11:30 o'clock last night. Death followed a 10-days illness with heart trouble and complications.

The body will be taken to the Bilderback home late this afternoon from the Stanton & Stanton funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. J. A. SanDeFur, pastor of the Atchison Baptist church, at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at the Cummings Methodist church with burial in the Cummings cemetery.

Mrs. Bilderback was born October 31, 1851, at DeKalb, Mo., and was married in Atchison on January 14, 1874. The Bilderbacks went to housekeeping on a farm one mile southwest of Cummings immediately after their marriage and Mrs. Bilderback had made that her home continuously since then.

A. C. Bilderback died in Atchison on June 2, 1928.

Mrs. Bilderback is survived by two sons, Edward L. Bilderback, and Alvin C. Bilderback, both of the Cummings community; one daughter, Mrs. Esther V. Lamb, Anadarko, Okla.; three brothers, W. S. Isaacs, Clarksdale, Mo.; Albert Isaacs, Weatherby, Mo., and Dr. G. W. Isaacs, Faucett, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. O. F. Mauzey, Atchison; Mrs. Frank Grongier, St. Joseph, and Mrs. Thomas Hiatt, Denver; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Bilderback were substantial citizens of the Cummings community. Starting with a small piece of land they developed a large farm holding and always conducted themselves in a manner demanding respect.

Mrs. Bilderback became a member of the DeKalb Baptist church at the age of 16 years.
