Zella Bigler Barnard, 80, of Scenery Hill R.D.1, died September 8, 1972 at 6:35 a.m. in her home.
Born April 15, 1892 in Deemston Brorough, she was the daughter of George Gayman and Mary Baker Bigler.
She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and the Lady Schenley Rebekah Lodge 121 of Beallsville. She graduated from Indiana Normal School and formerly taught in Deesmton Borough, West Bethlehem Township and Morgan Township.
Her husband, Herrel B. Barnard, died June 2, 1947.
Surviving are two daughters; Mary Rose, wife of Ray Penn of Scenery Hill R.D.1, and Martha Grace, wife of Guy Tiffany of York; one sister, Anna, wife of Vernon J. McCarty of Marianna; one brother, John B. Bigler of Washington, and six grandchildren.
