Mrs. Frances L. Bailey, in her 49th year, wife of Jesse C. Bailey and one of the widely know and respected citizens of Deemston died suddenly at her home yesterday at 12:30 o'clock. Mrs. Bailey had not been in rugged health but she was up and about her home yesterday. A cerebral hemorrhage was the cause of death.
A daughter of George and Mary Baker Bigler, Mrs. Bailey was born and had spent her entire life in Deemston. She was a member of the Mr. Zion M. P. church and a charter member and president of the Ladies' Aid Society.
Her parents, husband and one daughter, Margaret, wife of John Theakston, of Bridgeville, survive. She leaves one grandchild, Nancy and one brother survive; Mrs. H. V. Barnard and Mrs. Clarence Hildebrand, Scenery Hill, R. D. 1; Mrs. Vernon McCarty, Marianna, R.D.2., and John B. Bigler, Washington, R.D.1.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, with burial in Beallsville Cemetery.
