Born March 17, 1929 in Fairfield, she was the daughter of the late Clarence D. and Minerva A. (Moritz) Bigham. She was the wife of the late John F. Thomas who died in 2000.
Mrs. Thomas worked as a waitress at a number of restaurants in town including the Avenue Restaurant, she most recently worked and retired from DalTile in Gettysburg.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Waynesboro.
Miriam is survived by her three children, John F. Thomas Jr., of Gettysburg, Kathy E. Thomas-Stoner, of Aspers, Douglas E. Thomas, of Gettysburg; five grandchildren, Shon Thomas, Michael T. Stoner, Joshua L. Stoner, Jeremy L. Thomas, Jason D. Thomas; five great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and two sisters, Anna Mae Bigham and Catherine Bigham.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., February 20, 2013 at the Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg, PA. Burial will be in the Biglerville Cemetery.
