He worked in the timber industry, retiring from Boise Cascade as a green chain operator. He moved to Keizer 35 years ago. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, whom he married in 1962; daughters, Patricia Mackenzie of Hoquiam, Wash., and Susan Aldrich-Wilson of Astoria; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Private interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements are by Restlawn Funeral Home in Salem.
