Norman Bert Bidwell, 76, of Danville, KY and previously from Bronson, passed away on February 27, 2014 surrounded by family.
Norman was born September 15, 1937 in Sturgis to Leon and Leona (Osborne) Bidwell. After graduation from high school, Norman proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1954 – 58 where he was stationed in San Diego. He married the love of his life Patricia Tooman in Fremont, IN on October 21, 1975.
Norm began his career with the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities in 1973 working in the power-plant. He retired in 1999 to spend more time with his family and enjoy life. Norman was an avid outdoorsman whose favorite pastimes included fishing, boating and golfing.
Norman is survived by his children Anita (George) Yatso of Danville, KY, Chantel Woods of Coldwater, Richard (Jessica) Bidwell of Quincy, Eric Bidwell of Danville, KY; sister Helen Bidwell Ford of Warren, MI; grandchildren Corey (Jennifer) Yatso, Amanda Yatso, Brittany Wohlers, Brandi Woods, Andrew Bidwell, Logen Bidwell, Keeana Bidwell; great grandchildren Josiah, Seth, and Makayla Yatso; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Patricia on May 18, 2002; sisters Betty Cleckner and Vivian Bidwell; brothers Leeland "Lee" Bidwell and Robert Bidwell.
Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Colon.
