Ruby Jean Bidlingmaier, 77, of 100 N. National Ave., died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was born April 22, 1922, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Walter F. and Viola A. Pelunek Hofer.
On July 24, 1944, she married Willard A. Bidlingmaier at Sherman Park Lutheran Church, Milwaukee.
She was a graduate of Milwaukee University School and attended Lawrence University in Appleton. She received her funeral director's license on July 20, 1948, and she and her husband purchased the Zinke Funeral Home in Fond du Lac in 1948. Together they operated the Bidlingmaier Funeral Home in Fond du Lac for many years. Mrs. Bidlingmaier was a member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac, and the Gleaners at the church. She was also a member of the Fond du Lac Federated Women's Club, serving as first vice president, and was a past member of South Hills. She owned the Royal Look Stable and Kennel and was a past judge at county horse shows. She was also an avid watercolor painter.
Survivors include a niece, Mary Marvin of California; cousins; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 8, 1985; and by her son, Andrew on March 7, 2000.
Services: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Twohig Funeral Home, Fond du Lac. The Rev. Henry Juroff will officiate and burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Plymouth.
Visitation: From 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.
Memorials are appreciated to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
