Betty J. Gerlach Kolb, 85, of Lafayette, died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Heritage Healthcare in West Lafayette, after fighting bone cancer.
She was born Aug. 22, 1924 to the late Sam and Gertrude Weaver Biddle. She married Gene Gerlach on July 11, 1942, and he preceded her in death. She then married Donald Kolb on Jan. 8, 1966 and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Bill Gerlach (wife: Janie) of Otterbein and Mike Kolb (wife: Brenda) of rural West Lafayette; two daughters, Cindy Landseadel (husband: Bob) of rural Lafayette and Donita Navarra (husband: Fred) of West Point; two brothers, Ken Biddle of Monticello and Jack Biddle of West Lafayette; a sister, Shirley Freeman (husband: Gene) of Oxford; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by sons, Tim "T.J." Gerlach, Kevin Lynn Gerlach and Billy Kolb; sisters, Doris Casey and Judy Knicely; brothers, Sam Biddle and Glenn Biddle and nephews, Brad and Wesley Biddle.
