Ida Lowery Biddix
Mrs. Ida Lowery Biddix, age 87, of Marion, N.C., went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 5, 2008 at her residence surrounded by those she loved.
She was born in McDowell County on July 12, 1920 to the late James Roscoe and Mary Hogan Lowery.
Mrs. Biddix was a friend to all and a mother to many. She was a wonderful Christian woman, and a member of Peppers Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Biddix was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Paul Biddix.

Mrs. Biddix is survived by three children, Robie Biddix, son, and wife, Trish, of Marion, Roxie Ledford, daughter, and husband, Doug, of Old Fort and Wanda Cerminaro, daughter, and husband Joe, of Marion; two sisters, Jean McElroy of Jacksonville Fla. and Melissa Jennings of Charlotte; a dear friend, Clara Dwyer; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grand children; a number of special nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Westmoreland Chapel, with the Revs. Mike McGuire and T.J. Addison officiating. The family will receive friends today, July 7, 2008 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Westmoreland Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Biddix Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Hospice of McDowell County 575 Airport Road. Marion, NC 28752.
