Born in Village Withycombe Raleigh. Came to America on the steamship Majestic in May of 1890 and settled in Denver, CO. 1st marriage: Edith Louisa Pearce Bicknell 2nd marrige: Elizabeth Davis Bryant Bicknell 3rd marriage: Sarah Davis Collier Bicknell (Sarah and Elizabeth were Sisters) Prior to emigrating to the USA, Mr. Bicknell was a Potter at the Watcombe Pottery in Torquay, Devonshire England and he was a Sergeant in the Royal Artillery. In the USA, Mr. Bicknell was a Brakeman for the Colorado & Southern Railway's Georgetown Loop and in later years he worked the C&S' line to Fort Collins, CO and Laramie, WY.
