WILLADEAN BICKNELL BEATY
Willadean Bicknell Beaty, age 85, of Tullahoma, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, TN.
Ms. Beaty was a native of Clarkrange, TN, she was the daughter of the late Will and Lily Cook Bicknell. She was a retired accountant for Beaty Trucking and Beaty Farms, Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star, and a published author of two books of spiritual poetry titled Purple Cinnamon and A Miracle Says Hello.
Ms. Beaty was active in assisting thousands of women to recover from alcoholism and had a deep affection for her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Manchester and enjoyed fishing and writing poetry.
Ms. Beaty is survived by spouse, John Lenahan; three children, William Frank Beaty, James Henry (Carolyn) Beaty of Manchester and Kathryn Dean (Terry) Whitwell of Colombia, TN; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her former husband, Frank Beaty.
Ms. Beaty was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Lily Cook Bicknell; and ten siblings.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Tullahoma Funeral Home with Brother Carl Tucker officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma.
