Born May 19, 1923, in Winfield Township, he was the son of Amos and Ruth Ewing Bicker.
He was a self-employed farmer and had been a milk hauler for Cramer's Dairy and Country Belle.
Mr. Bicker was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church and a former member of the Winfield Grange.
Surviving are his close friend, Dorothy Grafton of Worthington; a son, John E. Bicker Jr. of Cabot; two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Sally) Middleton of Astor, Fla., and Mrs. George (Nancy) Nadzadi of Blackhawk City, S.D.; a brother, Donald E. Bicker of Sarver; and three sisters, Mrs. Anna E. Freehling of Sarver, Mrs. James (Naomi) Beatty of Prospect and Mrs. Ronald (Ruth) Gross of Cabot. Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
His wife, Sara J. "Sally" Gruber Bicker, died March 2, 1998.
BICKER - Friends of John E. Bicker, who died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Greenfield officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
