Edwina S. Bichler - Klug

Edwina S. Bichler-Klug, 85, formerly of Milwaukee Street, Fredonia died Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at the Harbor Club, Port Washington where she had been a resident for the last three months.

She was born July 1, 1917 in Appleton, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Edwin and Minnie Hahn Kline. While working in Port Washington she met and married John M. Bichler at St. Mary's Catholic Church on October 7, 1939. The family moved briefly in the 1950's but returned and resided in Fredonia in 1959. Her husband John passed away on July 2, 1970. She married Herbert Klug from Cedarburg on April 30, 1977 at Advent Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1989.

In April, 2002 she moved from her Fredonia home to Port Washington's Harbor Village and most recently to the Harbor Club. She especially enjoyed the family cabin in Pickerel, WI and the surrounding Northwoods. She was a waitress years ago and Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed traveling, the Packers and her Siamese cat, Megan.

She is survived by daughters Bonnie (Joe) Solonika of Fredonia, Linda (Gene) Jentink of Cedar Grove, Mary (Mark) Lemke of Saukville, Debbie (Tom) Eischen of Lena, WI and son John Bichler of West Bend, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, step-children Bonnie (Ed) Hermann, Jim (Debbie), Steve (Sally) and Ken (Grace) Klug, all of Cedarburg, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husbands, John M. Bichler and Herbert Klug and her sister Nina Thiex.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Sat. June 7 at Holy Rosary Parish-St. Rose Church, 313 Fredonia Ave., Fredonia. Reverend Richard Fleischmann will be the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Washington. Visitation will be from 9-11AM Sat. AT CHURCH. Memorials to Heartland Hospice of West Bend or the Harbor Club, Port Washington appreciated.
