Mildred Eilene Bible, 91, of Tipton and formerly of Lafayette, died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Miller's Merry Manor.

Born Nov. 24, 1917, in Frankfort (Carroll Co., IN Birth Record), she was the daughter of Newton and Eva Albaugh Wray.

On Sept. 19, 1937, she married Enoch A. Bible, and he survives.

Mrs. Bible was a homemaker and had frequently worked at the Frozen Custard stand. She belonged to a sewing club while living in Lafayette.

Surviving with her husband are a son, David Lee Bible (wife: Martina) of Tipton; and a brother, Jim Wray (wife: Brenda) of Norfolk, Va.

Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Wray Bible; 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Services 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at Brady Lane Church of Christ in Lafayette, the Rev. Bill Overbay officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, Lafayette. Memorial contributions may be made to: West Street Christian Church, 132 N. West Street, Tipton, IN 46072. Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, is handling arrangements.
