Ben Leroy Bevers, a resident of Waxahachie for 20 years after coming from corpus Christi, passed away on Jan. 28 in Arlington at the age of 69. He was born on Nov. 17, 1939 to Annie (Gatlin) and Roy Bevers in Odessa.
He was a musician and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is preceded in death by his parents, Annie and Roy Bevers.
Survivors include daughter LeAnna Bevers Mendez of Waxahachie; son, Jeff Bevers and wife Melissa of Katy; sister, Jo Barbie of Louisiana; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A Masonic graveside service was held Saturday, Jan. 31 at Lakeland Hills Memorial park in Burnet county at 10 a.m. with the Masons officiating.
Arrangements under the direction of Waldrop-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Homes Inc. in Kingsland.
