UNGER (Betz), Lillian Marie Age 96 of Englewood, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015. She had worked in the shoe department at Elder-Beerman for 8 years and later retired from Rike's Department Store with more than 14 years of service. Lillian was a life long resident of Englewood where she had a wonderful and long life. She was a member of the Englewood United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking, fishing, watching Cincinnati Reds baseball and Duke basketball. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Donald "Bruce" (Debby) Unger of FL, Sheldon Unger of Englewood, grandchildren: Amy (Michael) McClenaghan, Scott Lee, great grandchildren: Colton, Dakota, Mason, Grant, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lawrence W. Unger, parents: Herman and Stella (Wenger) Betz and sister and brother-in-law: Kathryn and Rev. Robert Howlett. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Rev. Kim Armentrout and Rev. George Sidwell officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery in Englewood. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Englewood United Methodist Church or Hospice of Miami County.
