Mrs. Gustave Bettin

Mrs. Gustave Bettin died at the Bettin farm home, four miles south of Barrington, Tuesday, in her forty-first year. Her death was caused by pneumonia, which followed an attack of influenza.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, (Friday) afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at 2 o'clock at Salem Evangelical church. Rev. J. W. Davis, pastor of that church, will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Bettin was before her marriage, Minnie Hannah Brinker, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brinker. She was born in the Barrington community on June 16, 1887, and was married on October 22, 1913, to Gustave Bettin, who survives. She is also survived by three children--Henry, 13; Marie, 9, and Ruth, 7, and by one brother, Leo, of Dundee; one half brother, John Brinker, Elgin, and one half sister, Mrs. Thomas Donlea of Elgin. Her father died ten years ago and her mother passed away February 28, 1927.

Mrs. Bettin had spent her lifetime in this community. She attended the local schools, and as a girl united with the Salem church.
