Esta I. Angus, 82, of Chillicothe, died 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008, in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. She was born September 4, 1926, in Ross County, to the late Melvin and Mary Alice Kerr Bethel. On July 11, 1945, she married James W. Angus, who died December 30, 1995.
Surviving are sons, James E. (Joy) Angus, of Grove City, Rev. William A. "Bud" (Brenda) Angus, of Vancleve, KY, Robert E. (Linda) Angus, of Chillicothe, John F. (Gail) Angus, of Coolville, OH and Thomas E. Angus, of Chillicothe; a daughter, Karen I. (Steven) Clifton-Saddler, of Kingston; 21 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; sisters, Edna Mae Newsome, of Chillicothe, Edith Spires, of Frankfort and June (Larry) Montgomery, of Chillicothe; brothers, Elvin (Stella) Bethel, Sam (Barb) Bethel, both of Chillicothe and Edgar (Linda) Bethel, of Punta Gorda, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Earl and Elmer Bethel.
Esta attended the Hilltop Mission for many years. She had worked as a waitress.
Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
