Mrs. Eva Best

Mrs. Eva Flo Best, 72, Anderson, Rte. 2, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday at the Missouri Medical Center in columbia [sic] where she had been a patient five days.

Mrs. Best was born March 4, 1892, in Norman, Okla. and had spent most of her life in Amarillo, Tex. moving to Anderson five years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson.

Survivors are three sons, W.W. Meeks, Fort Worth, F.M. Elsberry, Bakersfield, Calif., and Jim Meeks, Amarillo; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest W. Thomas, Anderson, Rte. 2, and Mrs. Norene Saylor, Amarillo; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church in Anderson with the Rev. Don Palmer officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo under direction of the Roller Funeral Home of Anderson.
