Last rites will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church for Austin Bertrand, 67, who died at 1:30 a.m. today at his home in Crowley. Burial will be In the North Hanks Cemetery.
Survivors include his widow, Viola S. Bertrand of Crowley; three sons, Raymond and Wilber Bertrand, both of Crowley and Lenwood Paul Bertrand of Alexandria; one daughter, Linda Hanks of Crowley; one brother, Batiste Bertrand of Palmetto; four sisters, Inez Vige, Oline Pitre, Louanna Boudreaux and Eva Elkin, all of Eunice; and eight grandchildren.
Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas is in charge of arrangements.
