Tarentum
Eric R. Bertram, 17, of Tarentum, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at home, as the result of an accidental house fire.
He was born March 8, 1987 in Harrison and lived in Tarentum all his life.
A senior at Highlands High School, he was a member of the school chorus and participated in shot put in track and field. He also worked part time at McDonald's Restaurant, Natrona Heights. Eric was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Natrona Heights, and the Youth Group of the church. He also was a member of Young Life of Harrison.
Survivors include a sister April L. (Robert) Carson of West Deer; his maternal grandmother, Evelyn L. Pierce Nevin of Apollo; and paternal grandparents, Rodger S. Sr. and Arla Mae Brown Bertram of Lower Burrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth R. and Cathy L. Nevin Bertram, who passed away in the same accidental house fire.
Relatives and friends will be received Thurs., Feb. 24, from 2-4 to 7-9 p.m. in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME, Tarentum.
Services will be conducted in Grace United Methodist Church, Fri., Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. by his pastor, Rev. Richard H. Nulph. Everyone please meet at the church.
Burial will be in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar.
