Farm Tractor Rolls; Driver Is Killed
LAPEER — Benedict Bertram, 75, of 1667 N. Lake Pleasant Rd., was killed Thursday when he was pinned under his overturned farm tractor. Sheriff's deputies said Bertram apparently was driving south on Lake Pleasant Road Just north of Clear Lake Road about 6 p.m. when the tractor ran off the road and rolled over on its side, pinning Bertram beneath it. Bertram was dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Blackburn Funeral Home, North Branch. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
