Harry Bertram, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2009.
He was born April 24, 1919, the son of George Walter and Nelle Bertram.
Harry served his country in the U.S. Army, was in Patton's Third Army and was awarded the Bronze Star in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked for 33 years at Allison division of General Motors Corp. as a tool and die maker. Harry was a member of Monument Lodge No. 657 F&AM and the Scottish Rite and was a part of the Shrine Clown Association.
Harry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Roberta; four children, Tim Bertram, Mike McBeath, John S. Bertram and Jamie Bertram-Bullard; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Harry was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Bertram.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday. Harry will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
