Surrounded by her family, Amy M. Bertelsen passed away peacefully in Burlingame at the age of 90 after a brief illness. Her sons, Kenneth (Dora) and Jeffery (Bonnie), her grandchildren, Joseph, Lisa Anne, Jessen (Sabrina) and Lisa Bliss, and her great-granddaughter, Alexandra, survive her. Her son-in-law, Andrew Geiser, also survives her. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth A. Bertelsen Sr., her daughter Jacqueline Geiser, and her brother, Julius Hiett. Amy loved gardening, dancing and traveling. She lived a full life and will be missed, but will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Services will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2004, at 10 a.m. at CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS, El Camino Real at Millwood Drive, Millbrae, California, with burial at Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Colma. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Dorothy E. Schneider Cancer Center at Mills-Peninsula Health Services in Burlingame, California.
