"Joan M. Springer Joan M. Springer, age 74, of Skippack Twp, a former longtime resident of Lederach, went home to be with her Lord, Tues., Dec. 29. She was the wife of Joseph C. Springer for 53 years. Born in West Milton, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Louise (Miller) Berstler. She graduated from Weehawken High School, NJ, class of 1953 and Temple University School of Nursing in 1956. As a registered nurse, Joan worked in various hospitals in the area, retiring from Sacred Heart Hospital, Norristown in 1993. She was a member of Graterford Bible Fellowship Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, teaching Bible studies and Sunday School. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons: Steve and wife Barbara of Potomac, MD, David and wife Lisa, Joseph N. and wife Rhonda, And Mark, all of Harleysville, Six grandchildren: Nick, Mike, Danielle, Joe, Drew and Madison. She was preceded in death by a son Roger and a brother Robert. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, 12 noon, at Graterford Bible Fellowship Church, Rt. 29, Graterford, where viewing will take place from 10AM-12noon.
