Mrs. Arthurs retired from the Spring Branch Independent School District in 2006 after a twenty year career in the Assessment and Research department. She was an active member of Saint Jerome's Catholic Church upon moving to Houston with her family in 1973. Prior, to that she was a member of Saint Mary's Parish in Port Arthur, TX.
