Art Berrey was born at Lacombe and lived with his parents on a farm just south of town. He took his schooling at Lacombe, and later attended Normal School at Camrose. He taught in the Lacombe district, and then purchased a farm, SE 29-40-27, which he farmed for many years until ill health forced him to retire.
