Marienville Native Dies In Greenville

Mrs. Leola Benninger, wife of James A. Benninger Sr. of Greenville, died Wednesday evening in the Sharon General Hospital following a year's illness. She was 64 years of age. She was born in Marienville, a daughter of Archie and Mary Sandrock Berlin, and was married to Mr. Benninger on April 24, 1919. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Greenville.

Surviving are her husband; her mother, Mrs. Mary Berlin of Oil City; and the following children: James A. Benninger Jr., of Greenville; Dr. Robert A. Benninger, Sharon; Rev. Jack A. Benninger, Utica RD 1; Mrs. Samuel (Carolyn) Deets, Cincinnati, O; and Miss Leola Benninger, at home. Also Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Marion Berlin of Seneca; Mrs. Carrie Stack of Naperville, Ill.; Dale Berlin of Rocky Grove; Mrs. Marguerite Davison, Mrs. Violet McCauley, Mrs. Viola Spence, Ralph Berlin, Mrs. Alice Gold, and DeLane Berlin, all of Oil City.

The body is at the Loutzenhiser Funeral Home in Greenville where friends may call between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. and 7 and 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Greenville at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be in the Brandon Cemetery in Cranberry Township.
