George Berlin, Jr.
Oct. 8, 1931 - Feb. 17, 2012

George Howard Berlin, Jr. passed away at his daughter's home in Sacramento on February 17, 2012. Husband of 50 years to the late Sharry Annette (Smith) Berlin (2003); loving father of Marsha (Greg) Smith and Rick Berlin; brother of Sue ("Wendy") Moulton of Diamond Springs.

George was born in Hoquiam, Washington on October 8, 1931 and graduated from Marysville Union High School in 1950. He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 and worked in vehicle maintenance. George worked for the Michigan California Lumber Co and Sierra Pacific Industries for 48 years as a millwright. He is a member of the Pollock Pines/Camino Community Center and the Golden Rule Senior Citizens Club of El Dorado Co and loved the Bingo Circuit.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 3 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., Placerville followed by a reception at the Pollock Pines Community Center, 2675 Sanders Dr., Pollock Pines. Private inurnment has been held. In lieu of flowers, contributions in George's name may be made to Snowline Hospice, 6520 Pleasant Valley Rd., Diamond Springs, CA 95619 or www.snowlinehospice.org. Friends may sign an electronic guestbook and leave condolences at www.chapelofthepinesfunerals.com
