KENTON, Jan. 10 - Final rites will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Price funeral home for Mrs. Amy I. Berlien, 77, of Kenton, who died Monday at 4:05 p.m. at the San Antonio hospital from a heart condition. The Rev. Roger Turrell will officiate with burial in Hueston cemetery at Forest.
Born in Jackson-tp, Hardin-co, July 27, 1873, she lived all her life in this community. She was a member of the First Methodist church in Kenton, and the WSCS. During the period of 1913 to 1922 she served as matron of the Hardin-co home and later as matron of the Hardin-co jail from 1923 to 1927 when her husband, George S. Berlien, was sheriff.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Berlien at Forest, Dec. 21, 1893, who preceded her in death in 1938.
Surviving are a son, Frank A. Berlien of Kenton; one sister, Mrs. Lulu G. Moore, with whom she made her home in Kenton; one brother, Frank D. Gano of Grandview, Wash.; two nieces, Mrs. Edison Overly of Kenton and Mrs. Doyle Critchfield of Ft. Jennings.
