Ellen Bergeson Jacobs, 76, of Libertyville, IL passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2001 at Condell Hospital in Libertyville.
    She was born October 28, 1924 in Elgin, daughter of Alvin and Ida Bergeson.
    She was a member of the Hummer's and Stummer's Music Group in Deerfield, IL; also a member of Deerfield Women's Club and the Townley Club of Deerfield.
    Survivors include her husband, Charles F. Jacobs; one son, Kim (Julie) McGinty of Booneville, MO; one stepson Thomas (Jane) Jacobs of Bernardville, NJ; one stepdaughter, Constance Jacobs of Chaska, MN; three grandchildren, Catherine, Sara and Ellie, all of Chaska; one sister, Elaine R. Russell of Port Charlotte, FL.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at 11 AM at Kelley and Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL. Burial will be private.
    Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 30, 4 PM to 8 PM at Kelley and Spalding Funeral Home.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, The Native American Heritage Assn., Rapid City, SD 57709.
